Background on Podcasting

Podcasting is the ability to receive mp3 files by using an automatic feed to download them. When you subscribe to a Podcast series, new episodes are automatically downloaded each time you launch iTunes (or iPodder). You can then listen to the episodes on your computer or your iPod (or other portable mp3 player).

If you have an iPod and iTunes on your computer, subscribe using the buttons above.

If you have a different mp3 player, use the iPodder program (for Windows or Mac ) to manage your Podcast subscriptions. Once you have the iPodder program on your computer:

bulletRight-click on the iPodder link above in the Lecture Series and/or the Performance Series
bulletSelect "Copy Shortcut" (or "Copy Link Location") from the drop-down menu
bulletStart the iPodder program
bulletClick on the "Add a Feed" icon
bulletPaste the Shortcut into the URL field and click OK
bulletClick on the "Check for New Podcasts" icon to download the mp3's

For a free download of the iPodder program, click on this link: iPodder ( )

If you want to listen to individual episodes without subscribing through iTunes or iPodder, click on the Listen without Subscribing links above.
