New insights into performing the music of Johann Sebastian Bach on the guitar do not come along very often. Tosone's groundbreaking article in the Guitar Foundation of America's magazine, Soundboard challenged conventional wisdom. The article showed how it was possible to perform Bach's 'Cello Suites on guitar with minimal change to the original manuscript It included Tosone's transcription of the Allemande movement from the First 'Cello Suite. A performance of his transcription of the complete Suite, performed by Nicholas Goluses at the Toronto International Guitar Festival, gave the audience an intellectually and emotionally satisfying experience.
